ISW centrifugal pump

The centrifugal pump works by centrifugal movement of water by rotating the impeller.

Pump before the start, it is necessary to make the pump casing and suction tube filled with water, and then start the motor, make and water pump shaft to drive the impeller for high speed rotation, water centrifugal motion, be left to the impeller outer edge and the volute pump shell of the water flow into the pump pressure.

Structural components

The basic structure of centrifugal pump consists of six parts: impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, sealing ring and stuffing box.

1. The impeller is the core part of the centrifugal pump, and its rotating speed is higher than the force. The blades on the impeller play a major role.

The inner and outer surfaces of the impeller need to be smooth to reduce the friction loss of the flow.

2. The pump body is also called the pump shell, which is the main body of the pump.

Provides support and fixation and is connected to the bearing bracket.

3. The purpose of the pump shaft is to connect the coupling with the motor to transfer the torque of the motor to the impeller, so it is the main part of the transmission of mechanical energy.

4. The sliding bearing is lubricated by transparent oil, which is added to the oil level line.

Too much oil should leak out along the pump shaft, too few bearings to overheat and burn resulting in accidents!

During the operation of the pump, the maximum temperature of the bearing is 85 degrees, which is generally about 60 degrees.

5. Sealing ring is also called leakage reducing ring.

6. Stuffing box is mainly composed of stuffing, water seal ring, stuffing box, packing gland and water seal pipe.

The main purpose of the stuffing box is to close the gap between the pump casing and the pump shaft, so as not to let the water flow outside the pump or the outside air into the pump.

Always keep the vacuum in the pump!

When the pump shaft friction with the packing heat is to rely on water seal pipe water into the water seal ring so that the packing cooling!

Keep the pump running normally.

Therefore, the inspection of the stuffing box is especially important during the inspection of the running circuit of the pump.

The packing should be replaced after about 600 hours of operation.
